The Kangwon National University, Prof. Hahn laboratory of Infectious Disease (KNUHID) conducts and supports basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious diseases. Since 1998, KNUHID research has led to new therapies, vaccines, diagnostic tests, and other technologies that have improved the animal and human health.
Molecular Epidemiology and Diversity of Animal Pathogen
We study to understand the molecular mechanisms, genotypic diversity and epitope mapping of the highly important industrial farm animal bacterial (Salmonella, Mycoplasma, Brucella, Bordetella, Actinobacillus, E. coli) and viral (PCV, PRRSV, PEDV, PPV, CPV, CDV, CAV, CCV, BRV, BCV) pathogens caused economic losses worldwide.
Recruting Postdocs / Researchers / Students
We are looking for new ambitious members to join KNUHID. If you are interested in vaccine development, please do not hesitate to contact us.
